Help Those Suffering in South Sudan
Of the 12 million people in South Sudan, more than 7 million are suffering from severe food insecurity right now. The world's youngest nation has been ravaged by a civil war, flooding, and droughts- all leading to a hunger crisis. Four years of unprecedented flooding has killed their livestock and thus, their livelihoods, forcing them to flee to areas of high conflict and violence.
In partnership with United Nations World Food Programme, AAUF is working to ensure that vulnerable people affected by the conflict, climate shock, and devastated economy have access to nutritious food.
